Saturday night was a very special night for Emilee and for her parents as well. We couldn't be prouder of our sweet daughter! She has worked very hard and has earned her Young Women Medallion. (Similar to the Eagle Scout Award for Young Men) She has completed many goals as well as a 10 hour minimum project in each of the areas of Faith, Divine Nature, Individual Worth, Knowledge, Choice and Accountability, Good Works, Integrity and Virtue. The Young Women leaders of our ward outdid themselves making this evening so special for the girls. The decorations and food were so fantastic! Emilee sang a beautiful Jenny Phillips song called, "He is the Way," and each of the three YW bore their testimonies. Each of the fathers were able to spotlight their daughter. Steve tried really hard to keep himself together, but still cried a little bit. Emilee felt the spirit very strongly and cried through the whole program, needless to say, these are not Emilee's favorite pictures. We think she is beautiful! Sister Berkabile, the YW President, talked to the girls about how important it is to continue setting personal pregress goals throughout their lives. That this is just the beginning of a wonderful life full of joy and service in the Lord's kingdom. Bishop Bayne concluded the evening with his remarks. We love our little Emiskin! She is growing up before our eyes. We are so proud of you and love you more than you can know!

Emilee,
Congratulations on your medalion! It is something to remind you of your devotion to Christ, for the rest of your life. I just recieved my (2nd) one. I wanted to do the same stuff as the YW I was working with-- It took me 7 years. I 'm proud of you for getting it done--including the new value---before you turn 15. You are amazing. And Beautiful...your eyes and smile shine with the light!
Love you!
Aunt Elinn
