After looking at Stephen and Lani's cute little website, I am inspired, at least temporarily. Who knows how long it will last. I started this blog about six months ago and haven't really done anything yet with it. So here goes another attempt.

Another school year has begun. Emilee is in 8th grade this year, she'll soon be fourteen years old and old enough to go to stake dances, youth conference, EFY etc. She is so excited. Emilee has been invited to participate in an honors middle school choir. She was one of 9 students chosen from her middle school to participate. The best of the best are chosen from each school throughout Las Vegas. We are proud of her.

Kimberlee is loving her intermediate guitar class. I myself love the program, and she is really becoming pretty good. By the time she finishes advanced guitar next year she will have had about 320 hours of guitar lessons for about $100 (for class fees). You can't beat that! We'll soon post a video of her playing. She is in the
7th grade.

Rebekah (3rd grade), and Isaac (1st grade) are getting into the swing of things again after summer. It is an adjustment for them; the stricter schedule of homework, chores, reading, piano practice, etc. Since this is Issac's first year of full day school, he comes home exhausted, hungry and very cranky. I learned after the first week to have a good healthy mini meal ready for him as soon as he comes home, which has staved off the emotional outbursts we had the first week. Poor Rebekah sprained her ankle earlier this week so she wasn't able to take her P.E. or dance exploration this week. Hopefully, she will heal quickly.

I just received a new calling to be the activity day leader for the 8-9 year old girls and I am looking forward to it. I thought I would have so much free time now that Isaac is in school but I find I am just as busy or busier than before school started. Mondays I clean house (floors, bathrooms, laundry) then we have family home evening. Tuesdays, I take Sister Barton, an 80 year old widow, to the temple for a session. Round trip is about 4 1/2 hours since we like to have lunch in the temple's cafeteria after our session. Then Bekah's piano lesson, Emi's volleyball practices/games, and PTA meetings in the evening (once a month). Wednesdays I volunteer in Rebekah's and Isaac's classes at school, then Emi and Kimmi have young womens. Thursdays I do more laundry, grocery shop, run errands, do activity days every other week and take Isaac to piano. Fridays and Saturdays I'm working at the hospital. Sundays are my very much needed day of rest. Then it starts all over again! So much for "free" time, huh? Well, I have to say that I am grateful to have the health and ability to keep it up. It is true that I am happier when I keep busy doing good things.

Looks great sis. Lani's good at this whole blogging business, and she checks them out regularly.
